The Talent Acquisition Sourcing Specialist – Contract role is a new addition to the Talent Acquisition team to assist with our Commercial Banking Group and Mortgage Recruiting Initiative.

This role will focus on sourcing and recruiting for Commercial Banking positions to include Middle Market Relationship Managers, Commercial Underwriters and Equipment Business Development Officers.

You will be responsible for sourcing and recruiting candidates by effectively marketing Bank of the West as an employer of choice and developing and implementing recruitment strategies and tactics which attract high-level candidates.

Position Accountabilities

  • Develop and implement targeted recruitment plans for openings which have unique and/or highly sought after requirements, clearly defining the tactics for sourcing and timeline, and partnering with other team members to ensure a seamless flow of service to the client.
  • Utilize methods including, but not limited to, networking, cold calling, professional associations, conferences, referral programs, social media and online search tools to source and recruit a diverse pool of candidates.
  • Understanding the specific requirements of the position, the organization in which it sits, and coordinating with other individuals in HR/Talent Acquisition as necessary to administer the recruitment/selection process.
  • Accountable for delivering candidates and commitments per the timeline established.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition team to develop best practices and foster idea generation while researching and developing new recruiting techniques/resources and supporting continuous improvement efforts.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of business unit and enterprise wide recruiting strategies and plans, as well as assist in and other duties as assigned.
  • Revise external position descriptions as needed in order to effectively market opportunities to passive candidates.
  • Identify highly qualified passive candidates and engage them regarding career opportunities at Bank of the West.
  • Utilize network of commercial banking professionals for referrals.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 5 or more years of direct banking sourcing recruitment experience and a strong network of commercial banking professionals
    • 3 or more years experience in utilizing social media (LinkedIn, Facebook), internet (boolean searches), networking, warm/cold calling to successfully locate and attract top talent
    • Successfully developed and implemented recruitment strategies to attract passive candidates
    • Have a strong referral network of commercial banking professionals for referrals and potential candidates
    • Highly advanced knowledge of social media sites, online sourcing tools and other resources available to locate and network with high caliber candidates
    • Ability to handle multiple and varied projects and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving and collaborative environment
    • Hands-on experience with applicant tracking software, preferably Taleo
    • Technology savvy and proficiency with Word and Excel
    • Demonstrated knowledge of EEO and Affirmative Action and other employment regulations
    • Demonstrated capabilities to work on sensitive/confidential matters and data integrity
    • BS / BA degree in Business, Human Resources, or similar degree/experience
