Talent Acquisition Manager

Main Event Entertainment is a fast growing Dallas-based company founded in 1998, operating family entertainment centers in the southern US. Summary

The Recruiting Manager will support field operations by developing and implementing effective strategies to attract, hire, and retain employees at all levels.

  • Execute company strategies in the areas of Talent Acquisition and Talent Planning:
  • Partner with Field Operations and Support Center leaders to ensure appropriate staffing levels throughout the year
  • Manage full cycle recruitment for Support Center and field openings from sourcing to on-boarding
  • Manage the workforce plan & Staffing strategy process ensuring that each center has Critical Roles such as the GM & Sales Manager in place 60-90 days prior to opening
  • Partner with the GM & Sales Manager to fully staff new ME centers using a variety of strategic sourcing strategies to include job fairs, college career fairs, mall booths, etc.…
  • Manage to an agreed upon time-to-fill & cost to fill metric as set by VP, HR
  • Maintain the Internal Job Posting process; manage communication to hiring managers and employees on status of open positions
  • Ensure Main Event has a strong presence on local market community college campuses; proactive relationships with retail, hospitality, and F&B colleges
  • Partner with HR VP to attend trade or industry conferences to build employment brand & build talent base
  • Ensure OFCCP compliance in all hiring activities
  • Maintain Job Description library
  • Report out monthly on key staffing scorecard designed in conjunction with the HR VP
  • Talent Planning
  • Ensure Centers have a “Ready Now” bench for key identified positions by leading the District level succession planning process and ensuring 100% completion of personal development plans
  • Partner with District Managers to support the succession planning process
  • Participate in, contribute to and potentially lead various committees, such as the safety committee
  • Travel to new centers to ensure 100% execution of staffing strategy
  • Travel to existing centers on a monthly rotation to build rapport with field teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of full life cycle recruiting experience within a multi-unit restaurant, hospitality, or large retail environment
  • Demonstrated ability to meet recruitment goals and build talent pipelines in a high-growth, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively interact with Executive Leadership and Senior Level Management
  • Experience using contemporary recruiting and sourcing tools such as job boards, social media, resume databases and search engines to identify active and passive candidates
  • Prior experience with applicant tracking systems
  • Experience using behavioral-based selection tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Outlook
  • Proficient in Taleo or comparable ATS
  • Exceptional organization and time-management skills with strong adherence to deadlines
  • Professional presence; exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel up to 50-70% to include day trips and overnight as required
