Systems Engineer – Junior

The Systems Engineer works on a multi-disciplinary product development team on the creation, development and lifecycle management of innovative medical products. The position provides exposure to a wide variety of exciting, industry-changing products in a rigorous, fast-paced environment and offers significant opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities:

• Using multi-disciplinary engineering skills to develop and maintain sophisticated medical devices
• Definition of system and subsystem-level requirements and design documentation
• Definition of test methods and acceptance criteria
• Performing risk management activities including hazards analysis, fault tree analysis, and FMEA
• Failure and root cause analysis, including detailed characterization of target systems

Requirements:

• Minimum of BS in Mechanical, Electrical, BioMedical or Software Engineering.
• Masters degree or 1-2 years experience in a technical field
• Demonstrated proficiency in various facets of product design including mechanical, electrical, and software engineering
• Demonstrated skills with key tools of investigation and documentation (e.g. LabView, python, Minitab, Excel).
• Demonstrated track record of multidisciplinary diagnostic and problem solving skills
• Experience with design requirements definition and integration a plus
• Experience with design analysis approaches such as hazards analysis, failure modes and effects analysis, etc. a plus
• Excellent communications and written skills
