Boeing Defense, Space & Security is seeking entry level (Level 1) Systems Engineers for multiple platforms supporting Airborne Surveillance Command and Control (ASC2) programs; the Airborne Warning Control Systems (AWACS) and Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) programs. These positions are based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

This unique role requires an understanding of engineering processes and the ability to communicate engineering requirements into a contractually sound technical baseline. The individual must be enthusiastic and hands on in their approach and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Some travel may be required, and may be for extended periods of time working away from the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma location.

Responsibilities

Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to assist with analyses, design, development and verification of a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.

Assists with analyses to evaluate customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.

Assists with various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.

Assists with analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.

Basic Qualifications

This position requires an active (or ability to obtain) U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Systems Engineering.

Experience with military aircraft systems.

Experience with Airborne Warning Control Systems (AWACS) and/or Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C)

Typical Education / Experience

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
