What will I do?

You’ll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and improving production systems. Primarily responsibilities include improving the stability, security and scalability of the OLTP engine and supporting systems. You’ll be maintaining, troubleshooting and improving our production systems by analyzing and finding the root cause of infrastructure issues and proactively ensuring the highest levels of systems and infrastructure stability.

What skills and experience are required?

3+ years of experience troubleshooting root cause of infrastructure issues

Expertise reading and understanding packet captures using the following protocols: http, tcp/ip, https, tls/ssl, arp, dns sftp, ftp and xml

Fundamental knowledge of OSI layers 1-7 and ability to read and interpret raw logs from multiple sources

Ability to troubleshoot across all layers of infrastructure: network, storage, server, OS, firewall, load balancer, etc.

Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the fields of networking, security and server administration, which includes routing and firewall concepts, storage and virtualization technologies

Knowledge of Microsoft O/S and Cisco networking/firewalls, VMWare, RedHat/CentOS

Ability to travel to Los Angeles for a week at a time, probably more at first, then to about 6 trips a year

College degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology and/or relevant combination of work and education experience may be substituted for this requirement

Salary: Up to $110K (DOE)
