Systems and Database Administrator

Located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains in Ronan, Montana, Rocky Mountain Twist is the leading US manufacturer and provider of innovative, high quality power tool accessories to the retail market and engineered drilling solutions to the industrial marketplace.

We are currently searching for a computer professional to join our IT team in a Systems and Database Administrator capacity. This is a full time benefit eligible position.

The Systems & Database Administrator ensures the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in-house information systems that support core organizational functions. This is achieved by maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all networked software and associated systems and databases. The Systems & Database Administrator will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.

Competencies Strong working knowledge of SQL (Structured Query Language) and Microsoft SQL Server databases. Experience in assisting in the implementation of software systems, applications, and related products. Ability to produce and maintain database driven reports in Microsoft Excel. Experience with systems planning, security principles, and general software management best practices. Working knowledge of Active Directory, Domain, and Backbone Management. Working knowledge of Microsoft OS environments. 2008/2012 Server, Windows. Working knowledge of networking systems/applications, firewalls, routers, switches, & wireless. Experience with core software applications, Microsoft Office. Knowledge of virtualization technologies and concepts. VMWare ESXi. Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws. Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required. Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language. Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail. Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities. Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Strong customer service orientation. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment .

Knowledge of Microsoft .NET programming languages (VB.NET), EDI systems, Made2Manage ERP, and/or Microsoft Visual FoxPro are a plus.

Minimum Education/Experience

Associates Degree in an IT Related Field or a combination of education and experience in an IT related field.
