Responsible for defining and managing the scope of business systems projects and production support defects/initiatives.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Manages integrated functionality, usability, reliability, performance, and support requirements of a system. Creates feature test strategies and environment needs.
  • Provides the link between the technical and business views of the system by ensuring that the technical solutions being developed will satisfy the needs of the business.
  • Applies and mentors use of tools to define requirements.
  • Anticipates and identifies opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensures high level designs including architecture requirements are accurately documented and map to approved requirements.
  • Assists in developing training documentation and proactive identification of additional documentation needs.
  • Maintains active relationships with customers to determine business requirements. Owns the change request process and may coordinate with other teams as necessary. Develops and owns list of final enhancements.
  • Support all Enterprise Metrics and Reporting deliverables including Problem Management Tasks in order to manage continuous improvement of our application stability.
  • Continuously initiate Automation/Efficiency Process Improvements and ways to eliminate recurring issues.
  • Support Infrastructure Upgrades and smooth transition across environments for overall system improvement and stability.
  • Handle various Audit Assessments, review requests and provide audit responses with required information in a timely manner.
  • Participate in Disaster Recovery exercises across platforms and ensure Business Continuity is maintained at all times.
  • Interface with the Network Operations Center (NOC), Incident Management, Infrastructure and Applications support teams to facilitate outage resolution and root cause analysis.
Requires BA/BS in information systems or related field; 3 or more years related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Certifications preferred.
Experience with supporting systems that have the following mainframe technologies (z/os, COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, VSAM, IMS DB/DC, ChangeMan or Endevor, MQ Series, IMS Connect) is required.
Experience / knowledge of healthcare systems and comprehensive understanding of large healthcare payer overall structure, processes, functions including Claims, Membership and Provider processing is an asset.
WGS, ACES Anthem System Knowledge is an asset.
Experience in both Waterfall and Agile Methodologies is an asset.
Experience using IBM Rational tools for defect management and tools like Jira, Service NOW, Confluence, MS SharePoint etc. is an asset.
