Within Starbucks, the Store Development Organization is responsible for Real Estate, Design, Construction and Maintenance for all store locations.

Starbucks is seeking a passionate technologist who can lead the delivery of Construction technology solutions in support of Global Store Development initiatives. As a systems analyst lead – Starbucks Technology , you will identify and guide the design and deployment of complex Store Development technology and process solutions establishing key business capabilities enabling the realization of strategic initiatives and operational improvements. This role requires expertise and leadership in requirements analysis, solution design, and process improvement coupled with the demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively influence across various IT and business functions. In addition to leading the delivery of new technology and guiding the enhancement/support of existing systems, an effective systems analyst lead consults and contributes technical, functional, and process expertise, negotiates and drives alignment, and coaches/mentors analysts.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Solution Design

Collaborates on project initiation efforts by assisting in the definition of project scope and leading the identification/selection of targeted solution(s). Partners with project management in the development of work plans, effort estimates, and delivery timelines.

Analyzes, and directs solution requirements for complex projects. Leads user story creation and backlog grooming in an agile delivery environment.

Utilizes LEAN techniques to develop business process designs and guide operations improvements via process re-engineering efforts.

Leads solution design utilizing user-centric design techniques.

Guides business, testing and development teams and leverages relevant process and technology proficiency to provide options and optimal solution(s).

Proactively identifies improvement opportunities (productivity/efficiency gains, cost savings, etc.).

Expertise in agile/scrum methodology and user centric design.

Consults overall user technology experience in thoughtfully designing engaging solutions.

System Configuration & Testing

Directs application configuration (i.e. create attributes, workflows and UI changes) in support of solution delivery initiatives.

Provides consulting to development team in agile design/development of custom solution components. Performs code reviews and partners with development.

Defines and develops approaches for data conversion and leads the extract, load, and validation of converted data.

Directs solution testing efforts by developing test plans, preparing test environments, coordinating the test execution, and reviewing test results.

Coaches the team to develop ad-hoc queries and operational reports.

Production Support

Directs 24*7 global support of critical systems. Provides trend analysis and KPI reporting.

Proficient in systems and leverages subject matter expertise to lead root cause analysis.

Leads issue resolution with vendors and/or cross-functional teams. Provides timely and thorough communication regarding issue status/resolution with end-users and other key stakeholders.

Directs the creation and maintenance of system documentation (e.g. Wiki, Knowledge Base Articles) and admin training documentation for users.

Directs, develops and delivers system training.

Leadership

Collaborates with the business, proposes and leads solution and improvement efforts based on a high degree of business acumen.

Conceives, proposes and influences new ideas and gains alignment on decisions within and outside team; usually armed with a known skill-set, competency or tool and is aware of the bigger picture in a domain.

Leads design/delivery efforts, oversees many tracks of work on complex initiatives, coaches best practices and delegates tasks.

Proactively develops team members and peers through coaching and mentoring required technical skills, functional knowledge and business acumen.

Demonstrates knowledge of industry trends and innovative thought leadership.

Generates new ideas and influences decisions within and outside team. Summary of Experience

10+ years of relevant experience

Diverse Technology experience in the integrated Workplace management systems space (8+ years) – Real estate development technology platforms or any large ERP experience.

IBM Tririga experience is preferred, not required.

Diverse experience in understanding An integrated workplace management system (IWMS) as a software platform to optimize the use of workplace resources, including the management of a company’s real estate portfolio, Project Management, Facilities Management.

iWMS systems & technology, championing and leading multiple complex initiatives and deployments, preferably in a Global footprint (8+ years)

Progressive experience in systems design, testing and implementation within a large, global organization (8+ years)

Working in the functional business area (8+ years)

Analytical and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment (8+ years)

Team and project management experience, including the ability to build, lead and work with cross-functional teams (8+ years)

Strong SQL and database skills

Data migration and translation

Experience with new integration and interface design

Possesses the desire/aptitude to rapidly learn new skills, project management, etc.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Understanding of iWMS principles from a Store Development Retail point of view

Understanding of integrations between Transaction Systems (Oracle eBS, Tririga etc) and Data Analytics Platform.

Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities.

Working knowledge of all facets of systems development and operations.

Ability to use business knowledge, sound judgment, and resourcefulness to design and deploy highly reliable, complex, and scalable global technology solutions.

Ability to collaborate, objectively assess benefits, costs, and viability of proposed solution options and drive consensus across a diverse group stakeholders.
