Systems Administrator Staff

This Lockheed Martin Enterprise Business Services (EBS) position performs as a Systems Administrator supporting Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Information Technology. The position is a High Performance Computing/Super Computing Systems Administrator who will be required to maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with Network Services, Storage Administrators, Security, Vendors, and Research Scientists. The administrator will also be responsible for maintaining the ongoing operational functionality and security posture of the high-performance clusters. This position will be located in Marietta, Georgia.

They will ensure that all Lockheed Martin assets and software are properly accounted for, managed, and controlled. All work must be performed on-site, including some off-shift hours, weekends and occasional travel. The position also supports a 24 X 7 weekly on-call rotation schedule.

This professional utilizes troubleshooting skills to provide users timely and effective solutions to problems. They develop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.

Desired Skills: – Current or obtain Security+

  • Red Hat Certified Administrator (RHCA)
  • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
  • Red Hat High Availability Clustering Certification
  • Red Hat Server Hardening
  • Understanding of Parallel Programing for Supercomputers
  • Understanding of basic concepts of threads and GPU programming
  • Understanding of software installation/deployment of license management
  • Experience with HPC job schedulers such as PBS Pro and/or SLURM
  • Experience with HPC Cluster administration tools, such as XCAT

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Demonstrated experience with:

  • Secret Security Clearance within a 5-year Scope
  • Red Hat Linux Operating Systems
  • Experience with High Performance Computing/Super Computing Systems
  • Red Hat Linux Server Operating System builds, maintenance, including but not limited to performance tuning, backup planning, disaster recovery, upgrades, capacity planning/management, patching, applying security configurations as per Department of Defense security requirements, system monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Experience and strong knowledge in system security and auditing
  • Experience with successful development of scripts (shell, Perl) for system and user support
