Systems Administrator 3 (Linux)

Job Description:

We are looking for a Systems Administrator who will be supporting a restricted program. Candidate will have strong verbal and written skills and the ability to respond to trouble calls relating to Linux systems supporting highly skilled engineers working with advanced programming languages and algorithms. Manages and maintains a smooth operation of devices while working with network, software, and hardware engineers that are remote and on site. Analyzes internal or external customer needs, and determines equipment and software requirements for solutions to problems by means of automated systems.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

6 years of experience with a BA/BS (Education may be substituted by years of experience) Linux

Systems Administration

Security+ Certification

Travel may be required

TS Clearance

Able to lift 40 lbs

Preferred Qualifications:

Operating System or other IT certifications

Software Installation and Configuration Experience

IT Helpdesk experience
