System Support Specialist

The Bolingbrook Park District is seeking to hire a Full Time System Support Specialist to work evening and weekend hours.

Description: Under the direct supervision of the Systems Support Manager, responsible for the support & installation of all information system resources including but not limited to computers, networks, telephones, printers, cell phones, and peripherals. As directed by the Systems Support Manager, support the implementation of information systems and telecommunications technologies.

Education & Experience:

• Associates degree in related field with one to two years of full-time computer experience supporting Windows 7, Windows 10 and Microsoft Office products on desktop/laptop PCs or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the position.
• Microsoft certification a plus

Knowledge & Skills:

• Ability and desire to provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Working knowledge of Windows 7, Windows 10 and Microsoft Office products.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, software and printer related issues.
• Experience replacing hardware on both desktop and laptop PCs.
• Experience installing software, patches, and updates on desktops and laptops.

Starting Salary: $18.03 – $20.28 per hour (based on experience)

PM/Weekend Shift
12:00pm – 8:30pm Tuesday through Friday
9:00am – 5:30pm Saturday
Due to the nature of this position it is sometimes necessary to work additional hours.

This posiiton is full time, hourly and non-exempt.
