Now about the job: Under minimal supervision System Administrators analyze, install, configure, upgrade, document, monitor and maintain software and hardware in support of business processing requirements. Supported systems may include operating systems, business applications, server hardware, security tools, monitoring tools, Web servers, Application servers, Integration servers, and other departmental or enterprise applications or systems.

The successful candidate for this position will perform systems administration functions for assigned applications to ensure supported systems are reliable, efficiently maintained and available in order to support customer productivity. Additionally, he/she will provide advanced technical support and accept ownership of problems not resolved by the IT Operations Center or IT Service Desk. He/she will also participate in the development and execution of technology strategies to support organizational activities and direction.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:
Level I

Associate’s Degree in related field or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

Level II

Bachelor’s Degree in CIS (computer information systems) or equivalent field, OR a combination of relevant education and experience.

Experience:
Level I

  • 2 or more years of Powershell scripting and automation experience with at least 1 year specifically working with VMWare, Active Directory,and Java/Javascript.

Level II

  • 5 or more years of Powershell scripting and automation experience with at least 3 years specifically working with VMWare, Active Directory, and JavaJavascript.

Prefer candidates with the above experience plus Linux, Unix, AIX, F5, MySQL, MCSE, RHCE, and API integrations.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate for this position will be required to complete scheduled compliance training and submit to periodic background investigations as mandated by NERC.
