Support Engineer

As Support Engineer, you will join our interdisciplinary team to ensure the smooth operation from a technical and business standpoint. You will work with systems and infrastructure that power our trading activities in financial markets. As an integral member of an aggressive and nimble team, you will have the opportunity to tackle challenging problems in programming, networking and technology. Your initial responsibilities will include maintaining and monitoring the health of our trading systems and infrastructure that support critical trading applications as well as administering our relationship with exchanges and clearing firms.

Duties:

– Deploy, maintain and support trading software and technology assets

– Research, create and maintain processes to ensure the health and stability of our production environment

– Assist developers in troubleshooting and improving our trading systems

– Manage our trader IPC/Turret infrastructure

– Manage our Phones, Printers, and Conference systems

– Track and solve issues as part of a fast-paced, results-driven IT team

– Work on automating daily and repetitive tasks

– Lead administrator for exchanges and clearing firms

– Maintain and reconcile internal reports and monthly invoices

Requirements:

– BS in Computer Engineering or relevant degree or equitable work experience to a college degree

– Solid understanding of operating systems and network architectures

– Experience in building, deploying and maintaining desktops and servers

– Entrepreneurial attitude with a keen attention to structure, detail and tidiness

– Ability to navigate both Windows and Linux environments

– Willingness to go above and beyond

– Passion for problem solving in a fast-paced environment

– Meticulous attention to detail

– Strong documentation mentality

– Experience in scripting and databases

– Familiarity with VBA, Python, Bash, or C#

– Ability to lift 50lbs

– Desire to work with a wide scope of technologies

– Comfort resolving uncertainty and communicating for issue resolution

– Experience working on a collaborative team
