Supply Chain Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Utilize supply chain analytics to assist in reviewing inbound and outbound distribution networks to improve efficiency, productivity, and processes
• Identify and help to implement process improvements to realize supply chain efficiencies and cost savings
• Prepare ad-hoc supply chain projects and provide recommendations for upper management
• Assist with identifying potential areas and locations for expansion of distribution network
• Assist with identifying potential new business partners (3PLs, carriers, IT solutions, etc.)
• Prepare statistical data for RFP’s and contract negotiations and provide input as necessary to the procurement group to support those processes
• Partner and collaborate with business partners as necessary
• Evaluate existing capabilities and participate in development and implementation of supply chain systems as well as recording and reporting tools
• All other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Transportation Management, or other related field, or equivalent applicable experience required
• Approximately 5-7 years of related experience supply chain or logistics
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel; (pivot tables, sorting, graphing, and formulas such as SUM, SUMIF, COUNT, COUNTIF, PRODUCT, VLOOKUP, etc.)
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Suite
• Demonstrated proficiency in ERP systems (EXACT or SAP a plus)
• Proven experience in ocean and domestic freight as well as the understanding of 3PL providers and service offerings
• Ability to address complex issues and assignments in an effective and efficient manner
• Results driven with strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and project management skills
• Strong data entry skills with great attention to detail
• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
