Summer Internship Miami- Network Engineering

Univision is looking to recruit top talent for our Internship program to join our mission of informing, entertaining, and empowering U.S. Hispanic consumers. The ideal candidate is at the top of their class, is a self-starter, and is eager to learn in a team environment. Our internship program strives to grow our interns’ knowledge of the media industry and expand their networking opportunities.

SUMMER PROGRAM DETAILS

Starts : Monday, June 05 Ends : Friday, August 11

· Runs 10 weeks; maximum of 40 hours/per week

· Projects designed to build knowledge, skills, and experience in the Media Industry

· Exposure to various business leaders and company initiatives

· Additional training and development workshops to build transferable business skills

· Deadline to apply is March 17 th

Summary of responsibilities

Summary of Responsibility:

(1) Assist with maintenance and updates to servers, workstations, and appliances.

(2) Audit inventory of servers and workstations.

(3) Radio automation configuration and deployment.

Core Projects

(1) Work with vendors to research;

(2) Implementation of software inventory process to help track systems, software, and licenses;

(3) Document Radio Platform that is currently being deployed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Technical Skills: Broadcast Engineering Knowledge

· Resourceful, Team Player, Inventory Management

· Must be pursuing a Bachelor degree in Engineering (EE, ME)at an accredited institution

· Must be a rising Jr., rising Sr., or recent May 2017 graduate

· Currently studying towards a BS Engineering (EE, ME)

· Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above

· Must be 18 years of age or older

· Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S

· Must be willing to work from offices in Miami, Florida

· Must be willing to submit to a background investigation

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Prior work/internship experience in a corporate environment

· Proficiency with Word/Excel/ PowerPoint

· Demonstrate leadership and adaptability

· Demonstrate civic and community service

· Experience on Troubleshooting, Installing equipment, maintenance of equipment.
