Eastern’s interns learn the nuts and bolts of the business. Interns work strategically with investment sales, retail leasing, and capital advisory brokers, gaining valuable insight into the world of commercial real estate. The knowledge acquired through Eastern’s internship program enables young professionals to develop the necessary skills to thrive in commercial real estate, fostering professional success.

Highlights from our internship program include:

• Being paired with and mentored by a team of seasoned brokers
• Participating in weekly office meetings alongside the CEO and Principals
• Engaging in training sessions to learn the fundamentals of the real estate business
• Sitting in on phone calls and meetings to get a closer look at the various aspects of real estate transactions
• Networking within the real estate community to create strong, professional relationships

Among internship responsibilities are:

• Conducting research on market demands and trends
• Learning industry information systems (Property Shark, etc.)
• Build upon and manage database using our CRM, which is a Microsoft platform
• Ensure accuracy of data
• Support senior management in new initiatives
• Assist in due diligence and property marketing

At the end of the program, interns receive a final evaluation that serves to provide guidance toward future career goals. Depending on performance and needs, interns may be invited to transition into full-time, permanent roles or may receive letters of recommendation.

All summer interns are required to have a New York Real Estate Salesperson License.
