Student Assistant – Digital Media Production and Publication

Student Assistant – Digital Media Production and Publication. Candidate will work with professional video equipment and Adobe Premier Pro video editing software, as well as Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Publisher and various Web development tools.

Critical Job Responsibilities

1. Video recording including audio and lighting

2. Video editing from cutting digital files using Adobe Premier Pro and Apple Final Cut Pro to assembling a production ready sequence

3. Video production inserting titles, transitions, images, audio and file rendering

4. Digital photography using in-house digital SLR, flash, tripod, and studio lighting

5. Photo editing working with a variety of images in Adobe Photoshop and other industry standard software packages

6. Technical and design expertise communicating effectively with supervisor and incorporating the exact requirements in the final video production

7. Web publishing using basic HTML, FTP and CMS tools.

Other important responsibilities:
1. Availability for day and evening events

2. Technical knowledge of standard video, audio and lighting equipment

3. Insuring that all equipment is properly setup and fully functional (i.e. audio/video settings and connections, tripod adjustments, battery charge, digital storage capacity, etc.) before each event

4.Logistical coordination and final preparation of event sites

Other duties: Assist with event planning and ongoing activities of the Entrepreneurship Lab. Assisting the Director, Associate Director and staff of the Entrepreneurship Lab with general administrative

duties, such as: word processing; answering phones; making photocopies; distributing literature; and other duties as required by the Executive Director and Associate Director.

Position Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a high degree of proficiency in video recording and editing using professional equipment and industry standard software. Expertise in Microsoft Office, strong organizational skills, excellent written and oral communication capabilities, and solid interpersonal social skills are required. An impeccable attention to detail is absolutely essential.
