Our clients are some of the world’s leading companies and the candidate will be part of challenging projects to build and support technical solutions for their needs.As an Application Development Specialist, the candidate will be expected to take on challenging project work designing, building, testing and supporting technical solutions. Depending upon the project, the candidate could find themselves developing advanced skills in technologies such as Java, Java Platform Enterprise Edition (J2EE), SAP, C#, Mainframe and Oracle, among others.As a Structured Query Language (SQL) Developer you will be expected to work directly with IBM’s clients across multiple industries leveraging strong communication and analytical skills to develop innovative solutions that address core business issues in complex and integrated business environments. The SQL Developer role requires the candidate to perform the following specific tasks: * Plans, analyzes, designs, and constructs databases* Design, test and implementation of database modifications to the agreed upon specifications * Implements industry standards and best practices for database security and capable of analyzing and defining database and information security requirements* Develops SQL queries, back-end database stored procedures, Oracle user permissions and grants.

The IBM Services Center is an in-bound delivery model where we support our clients from our Monroe, LA center. However, some travel is expected and all candidates must be willing and able to travel to meet our client needs across the US. Travel is typically related to knowledge transfer and training at the client site (Monday thru Friday). You are expected to travel a minimal 50% of the time as needed.
