Statistical Programmer

To create and execute statistical programming for clinical studies conducted worldwide. Includes database review and extraction, data handling, SAS programming, generation of tables, listings and figures, preparation of deliverables for submission, and tracking tasks related to statistical and clinical study reports for all animal species.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Apply statistical programming (SAS) expertise to efficiently generate a variety of statistical and other Clinical deliverables for global Clinical studies.
  • Review database builds for usability of data. Integrate clinical trials data from CDMS/EDC or other formats into SAS datasets. Develop and apply programming standards.
  • Prepare and validate datasets and statistical programs for audit, analysis and regulatory submission.
  • Summarize clinical study data; collaborate with Biostatisticians and other customers in planning and compiling tables, listings and figures for reports.
  • Pursue and apply industry innovations and comply with shifts in regulatory and technological landscapes.
  • Ensure all activities comply with study protocol and organizational Quality Documents (SOPs). Act at all times within industry and statistical standards and ethics. Apply Best Practice statistical and programming techniques according to regulatory and industry standards.
  • Balance multiple competing global and regional projects of varying complexity, prioritize project work according to business objectives, and provide support to multiple customers within the Biostatistics group as well as other customers within Clinical R&D. Research and apply innovative approaches when needed to solve problems or present complex data in novel ways.
Requirements:
  • BS degree in a biological science, computer science, statistics or the equivalent (Master’s degree preferred).
  • SAS Certifications are highly desirable.
  • Seven years of programming experience in a clinical environment is required.
  • Experience must include at minimum four years of SAS (Base, Stat, Graph) programming, in particular for reporting purposes.
  • Experience with clinical data management system(s) and/or electronic data capture systems is required.
  • Experience with data standards such as SDTM or CDISC is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook is essential.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills as well as well-developed organizational skills and ability to multi-task are essential.

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction
  • Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
