Job Description:

As a Stakeholder Engagement Manager, you will be part of the operations management team.

You will be responsible for the implementation of the approved strategy and community interface initiatives. This will include:

  • Co-ordinate and facilitate all interaction for site inspections and evaluations
  • Engage with local district community stakeholders
  • Lead and initiate multi-Community forums, e.g. National Development Agency (NDA), Association of Residential Communities (ARC) and The Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC)
  • Lead the process of developing and reviewing annual Mine Social Plans
  • Assist corporate & CED teams to establish community engagement plans
  • Assist the Social Development and Performance committee to identify, and prioritize local community projects
  • Ensure alignment with Social and Labour Plan (SLP), SEAT, Anglo Platinum CED Strategy and IDP of local government.
  • This role is in Corporate Relations department at a Band 6 level reporting to the Social Development and Performance Manager.

    Qualifications:

  • Economic/Social Sciences Degree or equivalent
  • A business management qualification – advantageous
  • Public relations qualification – advantageous
  • MBA or other financial / commercial qualification – advantageous
  • Business /Project Management qualifications – advantageous

  • Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Stakeholder Management
  • National, regional or municipal services industry experience
  • Track record of Local and Regional partnership development
  • Multi commodity and geographic exposure – advantageous
  • 5 years’ in the mining industry qualifications – advantageous
  • Computer skills with analytical, writing and presentation skills
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Good track record in project management
  • Code 08 driver’s license
