Stair Designer/Draftsperson

Feil, Inc in Fort Myers, FL is looking to hire one who is responsibly for all drawings for stair projects from initial design and bidding, parts selections, to final production and install drawings.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review blueprints, plans and specifications when bid request received. Prepare accurate design concept drawings to be used for bidding purposes and customer review
• Prepare any necessary change orders
• Site measures prior to production
• Prepare detailed and dimensioned construction drawings for customer review, production drawings for 5-axis CNC machine, and installation drawings
• Maintain notes, design calculations, and other documentation for future reference
• Other duties as requested

Required Education and/or Experience

• Associate’s degree in a drafting or related field (Newly graduated would be acceptable!)
• Experience with 2D and 3D drafting software such as Auto CAD
• Experience with 3D solid drafting software such as Revit and Inventor
• Decision making skills and creative thinking
• Communication skills; interpersonal, listening, oral and written
• Experience with Microsoft Office Programs

Additional Preferred Skills:

• Design interest and general construction knowledge
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, efficiently schedule and manage time
• Experience with CAM software such as Rhino, Alpha CAM, TPI
