Staff Accountant – Finance & Accounting

We presently have an opportunity for a Staff Accountant within Finance & Accounting . This position will perform general accounting duties for tour support functions of the PGA TOUR, PGA TOUR Champions and Web.com Tour. The successful candidate will be able to perform detailed account analysis, account reconciliations and general ledger entries within approved GAAP guidelines.

Qualified candidates will have the following:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited university is required; CPA candidate preferred

2-5 years of accounting experience; knowledge of general accounting practices and procedures is required

Must be highly skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data

Must be highly skilled in the use of Excel

Must be detail oriented

Strong verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills

Experience with event accounting

Experience with Lawson/Infor and Concur expense management software is a plus

Must have excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done

Responsibilities:
Review transaction level detail on multiple accounts and create correcting journal entries as appropriate

Prepare other monthly closing journal entries

Analyze departmental financial statements including comparison to budget and forecast and provide variance explanations

Perform various account reconciliations and analysis

Assist with interim and year end audits

Assist with annual budgets and periodic forecasts

Special projects-other duties as assigned
