Position Summary

Staff Accountants are responsible for learning and applying technical accounting skills and working as part of a team to carry out tasks with coaching and supervision.

Key Objectives Understand and apply current technical standards such as GAAP, GAAS, TAX and etc. Meet and exceed goals set forth through the annual performance evaluation process Refer to time budget throughout the year to stay within budget and meet pre-determined productivity levels Understand the rules, regulations, and profession al code of conduct of the AICPA Understand basic accounting principles Use of debits & credits and relationship between accounts Bring projects to completion on time and within budget Synthesize and analyze data to construct concise and cl ear documentation for reporting Growing use and knowledge of applicable firm technology, paperless systems, tools and processes Develop and awareness of the Firm’s vision, core values and business strategies

Qualifications Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or other related business curriculum 150 Credits preferred upon hire GPA of 3.0 or greater Aspirations to become a CPA and deve lop a public accounting career

Preferred Abilities Communicate effectively in a var iety of professional situations Actively pursue learning and development opportunities in line with completion of CPA exam Participate actively in all on-the-job and formal learning and development opportunities to understand role and responsibilities Ability to accept and adjust to changing priorities and circumstances
