Staff Accountant

General Overview: The Staff Accountant is responsible for various accounting and finance duties including, but not limited to: journal entries, account reconciliations and assist in preparing monthly financial statements.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconcile accounts.
• Run Aging Analysis and monitor A/R and A/P closely.
• Create invoices, record payments and update outstanding balances.
• Enter and post all cash collections into the accounting software system
• Work with various departments to research, resolve, and respond to any inquires.
• Assists in yearend inventory.
• Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures; recommending changes.
• Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
• Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
• Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
• Assist the Assistant controller and Senior Accountant with day-to- day financial transactions and perform other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
• SAP Experience
• Collections Experience
• At least 1-2 year experience in workforce
• Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical, and interpersonal skills
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight timelines

Salary: $33,000.00 to $35,000.00 /year
