Sr. Visual/UI Designer

thredUP is looking for a talented UI designer. You must have developed an aesthetic taste that is distinctive and admired. You are ready to grow your skills within a world class team of designers & engineers.

Responsibilities:

• Concept and implement the visual language of thredUP
• Develop pixel perfect Sketch or Photoshop comps
• Create and advance site-wide style guides
• Storyboard/prototype UX experiences
• Present at weekly product meetings
• Present the user interface visually so information is easy to read, easy to understand and easy to find
• Market and promote products and features so users understand what they’re getting and what the benefits are
• Mentor junior designers on the team

Experience:

• A portfolio that demonstrates graphic design thinking and skills in a variety of formats, specifically digital interface design for responsive web and/or native mobile applications
• Experience designing outstanding web-based products for a consumer-oriented website
• Experience designing for desktop and mobile devices (iOS, Android, and responsive mobile web)
• Image compression best practices
• Proficient with industry standard design tools (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch)
• Information design skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills and familiarity with technical constraints and limitations as they apply to designing for platforms such as desktop and mobile, Android and iOS
• Must be self-motivated to prioritize and manage workload and meet critical project deadlines
