Sr QA Analyst

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Agile Activities (20%)
Participates in and provides relevant input in all Scrum ceremonies conducted by the product team
Provides estimates that are achievable and provides feedback as new discoveries are made
Champions and fosters the agile methodology as specifed by Dojo training, Agile Coach and QA Practice recommendations
Ensures transparancy in all activities through documenation, communication, questioning ambiguity and seeking clarification or agreement

Quality Assurance Standards (20%)
Participates with the QA practice in developing quality processes and standards within one or more teams or domains
Ensures quality standards currently in place do not atrophy or recommend change as needed

Planning & Execution (40%)
Leads or develops sprint 0 test plans and strategies as needed
Creates test cases, as needed, based on work-items and userstories for happy-path and negative path scenarios; formulates build out of regression suite with each
Leads or facilitates correct and timely test data and environment mamanagment activities that allow for successful sprint activities in your product team
Identifies test cases for automation and works with automation developer to incorporate into the automation suite (provide requirements)
Ensures work-items and tasks for non-user stories, such as common error handling, logging and other peripheral areas, are created in conjunction with each user-story

Leadership (20%)
Leads offshore/onshore resources or UAT contributors, as needed
Acts as a liason or bridge to other teams in planning cross-functional activities and dependencies
Acts as a communication hub to release management and environment management to forward the interest of the product teams
Grows relationships with business partners and product team members with the aim to ensure the ability to influence

Specific types of experience or skills required:

• 5 years of broad QA/Testing experience to include a mix of web, client, EDI and/or data warehouse testing
• 3 years of database SQL experience in interrogating databases both OLTP and BI domains
• 2 years working in an Agile environment
• 2 years healthcare experience in one of the following domains: Claims, Enrollment, Financial, BI, Provider/Clinical, Pharmacy
• Intermediate to Advanced SQL Skills
• Understanding of web-services and ability to test them using tools such as SOAP UI
