Sr Project Designer

JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB SCOPE:

Design and develop new products and services and/or modifications to existing products or services. Includes resource assessment, scheduling and coordination to meet schedule.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Product Design:

Prepare conceptual drawings and layouts

Perform research and analysis

Select materials, process and purchase products to achieve cost and performance objectives.

Prepare engineering drawings.

Prepare engineering layouts.

Design Documentation:

Maintain a complete design project file

Transfer to Production:

Work with production to ensure that the initial production runs have the bill of materials

Assistance to other departments:

Provide technical assistance with products.

Project Schedule:

Keep all interested parties informed of progress.

Other Duties:

Communicate with in-house and field personnel as needed.

Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.

Perform various other duties assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

QUALIFICATIONS

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum three years design experience desired.

Associates degree in drafting or basic mechanical college level coursework.

Ability to perform very complex engineering drawings.

Ability to establish and write procedures to accomplish tasks.

General computer knowledge.

Ability to work well with all levels of personnel.
