Sr. Program Manager – eCommerce Payments and Billings

About the Role:

As a Sr. Program Manager of the Global Payments, Billings and Risk team, you will work closely with various cross functional teams including Product Management, Global Payments Management, Payment & Risk Operations, Engineering, Agile Scrum Masters and the broader Consumer Business unit to drive and manage the plan for high impact revenue generating, cost savings and technical initiatives. This role is responsible for ensuring initiatives are executed with excellence across all stages of a project—from planning through post-delivery monitoring. This individual will should be able to manage complex cross-functional initiatives, contribute heavily to the delivery planning process and have deep knowledge of agile development.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive end-to-end cross-functional planning, workflow, and resourcing of multiple initiatives in support of business and technical project delivery
  • Establish, align and track plans, scope, execution, and dependencies across teams to ensure effective, on-time project delivery—using agile cadence terminology for internal teams (e.g. Release Plans, Sprints, Epics, User Stories), as well as appropriate waterfall deliverables for projects that span multiple Release Plans.
  • Manage complex and large scale, cross-functional program/projects with multiple dependencies and stakeholders
  • Ensure that managed projects and results are delivered according to plan and that the appropriate methodologies are in place to monitor and report on project execution.
  • Drive communications with internal and external teams regarding project status to obtain feedback and approval on project deliverables and timelines
  • Drive portfolio management activities for the Payments team as part of the larger eBusiness delivery cadence
  • Proactively identify, assess and mitigate risks and issues across teams and ensure risk/issues are being resolved
  • Develop and maintain team processes to meet team business objectives and goals
  • Manage stakeholder/customer expectations by defining processes, SLAs, and tools to establish a productive and healthy working environment
  • Continuously assess, recommend and optimize Program Management processes, systems, and tools for the Payment’s team to effectively deliver on their goals/initiatives
  • Lead and utilize hard and soft skills to influence participants of all levels towards team goals
  • Collaborate with Scrum Masters, Engineering and Product Management to drive Sprint Cycle, Release Management
  • Partner with Product Managers, Engineers and Engineering leaders to maintain our roadmap, setting appropriate expectations and insuring our product and services meet our high standards for service excellence
  • Highlight and communicate program risks to senior management, and be able to articulate options and recommendations.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years’ experience in program/project management in an agile environment, preferably in software or platform development
  • Excellent organizational, communication presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate multiple simultaneous complex projects keeping teams accountable for both deliverables and process
  • Proficiency working in complex, cross-platform, cross-functional environments
  • Proven expertise in various SDLC approaches, project and change management
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in team leadership, decision making and presenting to large groups
  • Coaching mindset to train and guide best practices for teams
  • Knowledge and practice of Agile Scrum methodologies, experience as a scrum master a plus
  • Ability to prioritize to utilize common program management/agile tools (e.g. confluence, jira) to excel and adjust in a fast paced environment
  • Experience working with global teams
