Sr. Oracle Application Developer (P2P)

The Sr. Oracle Application Developer (P2P) provides Oracle application technical and functional support within the Oracle E-Business Suite of applications. These applications include but not limited to Procurement, iProcurement, iSupplier, Accounts Payable and Inventory.

Responsibilities also include developing and maintaining custom programs, interfaces, reports and forms.

This is a non-merit system, employment-at-will, long-term contract position.

Essential Functions

• Provides Oracle applications Procure to Pay (P2P) technical and functional support

• Develops and maintains interfaces between Oracle and other applications using ISG ( SOA ) utilizing Oracle API , custom packages and Java

• Creates OAF personalization and extension; ability to develop and/or modify OAF screens

• Develops Oracle Forms and Reports, BI Publisher reports

• Prepares workflow customization and new development

• Performs requirements gathering and analysis on projects

• Interfaces with mid- and senior-level end users to develop client “buy in” and support, develop business implementation strategies, formulate project plans, and address specific issues that may arise during an Oracle implementation as well as ongoing support of Oracle application production environment

• Assists DBA team in functional modules for major upgrades and patching

• Works with Oracle support services to resolve customer open issues

• Provides configuration management support to staff for development software

• Merges developed programs with the Oracle application software to provide an easily accessible system for users

• Provides technical documentation updated to the latest enhancement or release

• Assists in reviewing the current technical architecture, including design patterns and development methodologies

Other Functions

• Assists DBA team in functional modules for major upgrades

• Performs data analysis, coding, testing, QA, documentation, integration and maintenance of applications

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Working knowledge in Oracle E-Business Suite 11i , Oracle ERP applications development with an emphasis on workflows, OAF and web services

• Technical proficiency in: ISG , OAF personalization, OAF customization, JDeveloper tool, Oracle Web Services, Oracle Forms and Reports, Oracle JDeveloper, Oracle Workflow Builder,, PL/ SQL , SQL*Plus, SQL*Loader, API’s; XML Publisher; UNIX

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Proficient programming, unit and system testing skills for all levels of complexity

• Ability to effectively report on application development resources for projects and maintenance

• Ability to synthesize information quickly at a high level and makes decisions in ambiguous situations

• Ability to recognize matters of urgency and knowing when to escalate effort

• Ability to work as part of a team and independently on complex problems.

Minimum Education, Experience Requirements

• BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other technical discipline

• 5+ years of progressive experience in the application and systems development

• 4+ years experience with Oracle R12 E-Business Suite in a technical role running on Sun/Solaris or other UNIX system with emphasis on the Oracle Procure-to-Pay modules

• Experience in Oracle Applications R12 and knowledge of Oracle schema structures of Oracle R12 E-Business Suite modules, including Procurement, Inventory, Accounts Payable

• Experience with programming in different environments ( UNIX , HP, SCO , Solaris or AIX ) and/or NT/Windows 2000)

OR

• High School diploma or equivalent

• 11+ years of progressive experience in the application and systems development

• 4+ years Oracle R12 E-Business Suite experience in a technical role running on Sun/Solaris or other UNIX system with emphasis on the Oracle Procure-to-Pay modules
