Sr. Mgr of Risk & Compliance

Directs the strategy and operations of the OCIO Infrastructure security management, risk management, business continuity, disaster recovery, and compliance; oversees and leads staff in terms of setting performance objectives, direction and goals; designs, defines, and plans a vision, roadmap and strategy for secure infrastructure systems that are both process-driven and technically aligned with the business requirements of the university; initiates key service improvements and security initiatives to ensure scalable, efficient, effective and secure operations; reviews and validates that the Office of the CIO IT systems and services are secure and compliant with applicable regulations, group policies, codes, industry best practices, and the Security Framework/Strategy; ensures the implementation of necessary information security controls, policies, standards, procedures and guidelines, in conjunction with OCIO Security, Internal Audit, University Compliance, and Risk Management; works closely with the Office of CISO to design, implement and support network security and remote access solutions for all OCIO customers.

Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; 7+ years of experience within Information Technology, preferably within IT security, disaster recovery, business continuity and risk management; experience with developing and implementing infrastructure services strategies in complex organizations; experience leading operational infrastructure teams; Information Security experience; including implementation of security standards, vulnerability and patch management, HIPAA , FERPA , PCI , FISMA , and research compliance.

Desired Qualifications

Vendor relationship experience, IT outsourcing & Cloud/ SAAS solutions, IT Transformational and infrastructure engineering experience; project management and/or financial costs management experience; excellent communications skills with the ability to engage customers in technology related topics; effective organizational change and culture leadership.
