Sr. Linux Administrator

Job Description

Our Client, a leader in their field, is looking for a Sr. Linux Systems Admin in its East Bay location for a long-term contract position. The successful candidate will primarily support and manage the Linux environment along with support of the enterprise storage environment.

Responsibilities

• Support a large 200+ multi-site Red Hat environment
• Support of an EMC/NetApp environment
• Light scripting in Perl or Shell
• Security and performance monitoring

Requirements

• Computer Science degree preferred
• 6+ years of experience supporting a Linux environment
• Experience with EMC and NetApp storage
• Solid, in-depth knowledge of Red Hat
• Experience in a large (200+ machines) multi-site environment
• Experience with VMware
• Experience with load balancing

• Team Player

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS
• Experience with Sendmail
• Experience with Solaris
