Sr. Java Full Stack Developer

General Responsibilities

– Core contributor in building highly scalable and robust server applications

– Design and implement functional requirements while providing scalability, performance, and maintainability

– Collaborate with other developers to define system architecture, component interface, and integration model

– Explore and evaluate new technologies

– Design and develop software based on business and functional requirements

– Multitask as necessary to handle long term and short term deliverables along with immediate production issues

– Debug and unit test software

– Maintain, as well as build new features in software

– Help with deployment in test and production environments

– Meeting deadlines

– Maintain strong professional presence with regard to working hours, taking ownership, and delivering

– Partner, respect and collaborate with other team members and peers

Required Skills

– Bachelor degree in CS/EE (or equivalent)

– Minimum of five years of software development experience in Java and JEE

– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

– In-depth understanding of object-oriented design principles and programming; familiarity with design patterns

– Ability to apply Design Patterns and SOLID principles of object oriented programming.

– Strong experience coding in Java technologies and frameworks like JSP, JSTL, JMS, JNDI, JDBC, JAXB, Struts, Hibernate, log4j and JUnit

– Experience with Java Spring and Spring MVC

– Solid understanding of Java Web Services WSDL, SOAP, XML, and RESTful

– Experienced with database technologies: MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle, etc.

– Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git or BitBucket;

Nice to have Skills

– Gradle/Maven build tools knowledge is a plus;

– React.js or Backbone.js is a plus;

– Spring Boot experience is a plus;

– Individuals must be self-motivated to learn new technologies and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

– Be willing to help your teammates, share your knowledge with them, and learn from them.
– Be open to receiving feedback.

– Ability to work in fast-paced team environment
