SR. JAVA DEVELOPER – 6 Month Contract to Hire

Sr. Java Developer (8+ years)

This project is for a web service integration from a point of sale system to an accounts receivable system. Developer will be responsible for the development, implementation, and unit/integration testing on the project.

• Good pay rate for this position and it will lead to a regular (non-contract) role for the right person.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Excellent communication and inter-personal skills including the ability to discuss requirements with end users

8+ years as a Java Developer with recent work experience in a Senior level role with experience in:

RESTful Web Service design and development using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, etc.

Object Oriented design experience

JBOSS

Junit testing framework

Java exception handling

JDBC

Maven

Java annotations

HTTP protocols (various methods such as GET, POST, DELETE, PUT, etc)

Eclipse IDE

Markup languages such as JSON, XML, etc.

ORM frameworks including Hibernate and JPA

Previous lead experience from a technical/architecture point of view

Strong hands-on experience using Jersey, Log4j, Commons Logging, Logback and Spring frameworks

NICE TO HAVE:
8+ years’ experience developing Java applications

Strong working knowledge with reading/writing complex SQL queries and Stored Procedures

Familiarity with SVN, CVS, and/or GIT

Familiarity with continuous integration concepts
