Requires Skills:
Advanced Degree or Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject

Java 1.8 (5-10 years of experience)

VCS

Architecture experience

Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns

Maven 3+

Spring Framework with experience in various Spring projects (Integration, Data, Boot, Security)

Experience with Agile software development practices and tooling (JIRA)

Tomcat

SVN or GIT

IntelliJ or Eclipse

Integration and Unit testing frameworks such as JUnit

Working knowledge of semantic web technologies (RDF, SKOS, SPARQL and OWL)

Bash/Batch scripting

Experience using continuous integration / continuous deployment (Jenkins)

Desirable Skills

Experience with Natural Language Processing frameworks such as GATE, Apache UIMA or Stanford NLP

Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, and HBase etc.

Experience with data visualization libraries such as D3, GGPlot etc.

Experience with front end technologies and frameworks (JavaScript, angular js etc…)

Job Description:
We are looking for a analytics researcher to join our new machine learning and knowledge management group.

You will join a small specialist team investigating different approaches to solving key Machine Learning/NLP challenges such as effective information retrieval, automated concept extraction, knowledge harvesting and the linking of semantically similar documents.

You will be working in a focused global team with experts in complementary fields including knowledge graphs, ontology design and data visualization.

Roles & Responsibilities:
This role requires exceptional software development skills utilizing object orientated design principles and best practices to produce scalable, high-performing, enterprise-level business solutions.

You will work closely with the product owner, engineering teams as well as legal specialists with deep regulatory knowledge to produce proof of concepts and strong prototypes.

The ideal candidate for this role will be capable of working autonomously to both deliver strong prototypes to prove new capabilities for OLO as well as communicating the value of these capabilities to all stakeholders (including other technology teams) and senior management.
