Job Family Description:

• Designs, analyzes, develops, codes, tests, debugs and documents programming to satisfy business requirements.
• Proficient in application development skills for more than one technology as well as proficient in multiple design techniques.
• This position should typically be used for an advanced or lead level resource.

• Designs, analyzes, develops, codes, tests, debugs and documents programming to satisfy business requirement.

• Be part of a team of geographically distributed analysts and developers responsible for the program’s software solutions engineering function.
• Develop productive working relationships with business, technology, infrastructure, architecture and enterprise technology teams that participate in the SELC and ensure coverage of all aspects of application development and delivery.
• Work will include all aspects of software engineering lifecycle concentrated with middleware development using Java/JEE/Spring/Struts/JSP/JSF/JavaScript platform and databases.
• Must have a deep understanding of client/server architecture with proven experience working in a multi-tier software application.
• Should be well versed in testing techniques to produce comprehensive test cases for all developed code.
• Must also support and participate in system and integrated testing across sub-systems as the need arises.
• Should be capable of producing solid documentation both inside code and external design specifications.
• Interpret functional specifications, create technical specifications and have the ability to deliver quality code to specification.
• Must be comfortable interacting with team members, management and business partners spread across several geographical locations.
• Must be comfortable working in an Agile/Scrum team setting.

Required/Primary Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in Java/JEE/Spring programming working on medium and large scale software projects.
• Working knowledge of web services technology and SOA practices.
• Technologies: Java, JEE, Spring Framework, Restful and SOAP Web Services, Oracle Database, PL/SQL and JSP/JavaScript.
• Minimum of 7 years programming in Java.
• Minimum of 4+ years’ experience with the following development and build tools (or similar): Eclipse, Maven, Subversion, Spring, JSF, Struts.
• Thorough knowledge of SELC (Software Engineering Life Cycle).
• Knowledge of relational database.
• Demonstrated teamwork and ability to work with diversity of team location and background.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science and should have proven course work in several computer software, algorithms, data structures, programming languages subject areas.
• Minimum of 7+ years of software development experience including, but not limited to, mature design, coding, testing and debugging skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to develop strong relationships and influence people.
• Ability to be a part of a team and actively contribute at all levels.
• Must be well versed & in touch with latest industry trends in technology.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
