Sr Front End Software Engineer

Job Description
Our client is seeking to fill an open position for a Senior Front-End Software Engineer, located in Seattle, believes that simplicity is beautiful. This position is to help grow their Front-End Engineering team dedicated to building a simple, friendly, straightforward ecosystem that empowers a platform for users to produce complex, location-based, data-driven technology solutions.

Main responsibilities

• Work closely with product owners, designers, and engineers to design, implement, test and continually improve scalable web applications.
• Develop products using agile methods and tools.
• Develop commercial grade software that is user friendly and suitable for global audience.
• Support production issues both directly and indirectly with customers.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews of your work and the work of your peer engineers.

Desired Skills and Experience

• S. in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 2+ years software development experience building scalable commercial web front end applications.
• Strong HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills
• Ability to translate UI/UX design wireframes into a usable web application
• Familiarity with AngularJS or similar single-page app frameworks
• NodeJS (nice to have)
• JSON, using REST services, HTTP
• Familiarity with modern build tools for web applications, including Grunt, Jenkins, LESS, NPM, Git
• Experience with Mocha/Jasmine/Karma/Selenium test frameworks or equivalent
• Experience with data visualization, graphs, and BI systems
• Web page performance tuning (client side and server side e.g. cache rules)
• Web page security e.g. XSRF, XSS, SQL injection, SSL, etc.
• Highly entrepreneurial, flexible and hardworking willing to go the extra mile or two to get things done with high quality
• Experience building highly available systems and operating 24×7 services
