Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Casino Senior Financial Analyst for the Global Casino Operations group, the Casino Senior Financial Analyst compiles financial plans and forecasts and reports on the results. Additionally, the Casino Senior Financial Analyst will develop and interpret financial results, and review work performed by the Casino Financial Analyst. The position also assists with or leads financial projects, as needed. This position will be a key contributor to the future success of the Planning team by providing a strong professional presence, technical expertise and a business/operational focus. The position will work with management throughout the department and company to develop, track and analyze key performance indicators to assess and ensure operational strength. Together with the Senior Director, Casino Controller and the Manager of Casino Financial Planning & Analysis, will assist in the preparation and consolidation of the annual budget and monthly forecast. Challenges include working with data from various sources as well as coordinating the collection of data from various individuals (i.e., shipboard Casino Management, brands, shoreside Casino Management, etc.).

Essential Functions

  • Compile financial budgets and forecasts and prepare all budget and forecast deliverables, including capital and operating planning/forecasting.
  • Prepare annual and quarterly balance sheet and cash flow forecast.
  • Prepare, document and communicate monthly budget and forecast variance explanations.
  • Develop methods to streamline budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of budget and forecast presentations for management.
  • Use analytical skills to sift through large amounts of data and turn this information into key qualitative and quantitative financial analysis.
  • Develop new tools and analyses, independently and collaboratively, to provide insights into business trends.
  • Communicate complex analysis and results with recommendation to all levels of management, including senior management.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to partner with business on important strategic initiatives.
  • Prepare and/or review ad hoc reports and analysis as requested.
  • Assist in projects as requested.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics. MBA preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in comparable role performing and improving financial planning, forecasting and analysis, total of 5-6 years of experience in financial analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint and strong proficiency in Word and Outlook,
  • Proficiency in Oracle Financials and IBM Cognos TM1 software or comparable applications or tools strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting techniques as well as proficiency with financial statement analysis and projection.
  • Knowledge of overall business strategy and operations including business processes, revenue and cost components and drivers of these measures, profitability and return on investment modeling.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and issues.
