Sr Finance Manager – Transport Intelligence

    Role Summary:
    This role will demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for Transport Intelligence, a Digital P&L that is expected to see double digit growth over the next few years. In this role you will support the GM for Transport Intelligence and work with the business and finance leaders to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.

    Essential Responsibilities:

  • Own the business planning and forecasting cycles for all Transport Intelligence product lines. Work with Digital Solutions and Transportation finance teams to drive commercial, technology and projects performance.
  • Partner with commercial to drive effective ITO processes and drive orders growth. Effective drive NPI and capital allocation processes for the P&L.
  • Own closing processes including interface with R2R COE and controllership. Drive balance sheet reviews and simplify closing processes.
  • Analyze data for reasonableness & review variances by considering sources, current business activities and historical trends prior to releasing information to business stakeholders
  • Prepare monthly reporting package for communicating financial and operational results for the business to the Transport Intelligence and Digital Solutions leadership team
  • Responsible for project financials, including forecasting, analyzing and reporting by working with Project controls analysts and with operating and controllership teams to support and drive project execution and compliance.
  • Work with key stakeholders to upgrade relevant financial systems & operating processes for recent acquisition. Work with site leaders and with supply chain to expand facilities, drive effective sourcing strategy and update ERP/MRP systems as relevant.
  • Generate and enhance routine reports that meet client business needs by conducting thorough needs assessment with business stakeholders.

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or related fields
  • 5+ years of experience in Finance

    Desired Characteristics:

  • FMP and/or CAS Experience
  • MBA
  • Able to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex financial issues
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Team player and flexible/proactive attitude
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Established analytical and project management ability
  • Prior leadership experience and strong project management or commercial experience
  • PC proficiency – HFM, Oracle Projects, OBI, SSS, Excel, PPT
