Job Summary:
Core Responsibilities:
Provide technical leadership within teams responsible for utilizing Agile development methodologies to design and troubleshoot multiple web services used by customer care applications, including monitoring systems, alerts, and reporting dashboards; develop web services and web applications with Java, Soap, Spring, Rest, and Hibernate; perform code refactoring to restructure existing code and improve software application components; analyze, test, and assist with the integration of new applications and oversee the documentation of all development activity; participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including collaborating with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements, conducting analyses to determine integration needs, supporting applications under development, testing software and customizing current applications, and support developed features in a production environment; participate in tracking and evaluating performance metrics, ensuring software is delivered on time, to specification, and within budget; work with the Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements; monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products in order to keep current with technological developments within the industry; review literature, patents, and current practices relevant to assigned projects; and mentor, train, and provide guidance to junior-level software engineers.

Job Specification:
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; five (5) years experience utilizing Agile development methodologies to design and troubleshoot software solutions for web services, of which three (3) years includes utilizing Java, Soap, Spring, Rest, and Hibernate for web service development.
