Sr. DevOps Engineer

As a DevOps engineer at zulily, most of your time will be spent implementing high availability within the software stack and enhancing our software build/deployment infrastructure. You will also be creating solutions to effectively monitor our fleet of servers and proactively addressing system bottlenecks. You will be supporting Supply Chain Systems, with a focus on Fulfillment Center Systems. We are growing rapidly to scale our operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants should:

• Have at least 5 years of systems engineering/development experience
• Have strong experience with configuration management tool using salt, chef, puppet or an equivalent
• Be familiar with several scripting languages (e.g. ruby, perl, python) and have in-depth experience with at least one
• Have strong background in Linux/Unix Administration. MySQL experience is a plus
• Have some experience with highly scalable / available service-oriented architectures, and understanding of monitoring and metrics
• Have some knowledge of cloud computing. Experience with Docker or AWS related technologies is a plus

While you probably know that some operations are best done during off hours, and we may ask you to be available to assist during occasional scheduled outages, you will not be on an on-call rotation!
