Job Description

The Senior Designer will work closely with the Art Director and Creative Director in designing smart, visual breakthrough content experiences on web/mobile web, email, social, and emerging platforms.

S/he will have in depth knowledge of design trends and best practices and a passion for conceptual challenges.

The Senior Designer will help innovate in digital storytelling, design compelling interactive graphics and infographics and bring new ideas and solutions to the team.

S/he will be integral in setting visual guidelines for clients and ensuring the work adheres to those guidelines.

S/he will be hands-on in developing visually compelling client presentations that are key to selling in ideas.

Essential Job Functions

• Solve : Develop breakthrough visual solutions for complex subject matter
• Create : Translate concepts into engaging content through best in class design, photography editing, and illustration.
• Collaborate : Collaborate with creatives including art directors, copywriters, designers, creative technologists, production / content managers and user experience architects
• Additional responsibilities:
  • Participate in upsell opportunities
  • Identify opportunities for design optimization and innovation
  • Develop highly visual show/don’t tell client presentations in PowerPoint

Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements

Experience:

• 5+ years in digital design (preferably agency side), with significant experience in designing for web (including mobile web and responsive) and email

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Mastery over current digital design standards and best practices
• Strong conceptual ability to translate complex subject matter into easily digestible and engaging visuals
• Excellent design sensibilities in typography, composition, color, photography, interactive graphics
• Experience with social media and best practices a plus
• Experience thinking and designing “in motion: ” moving imagery, animation, GIFS, motion graphics a plus

Working knowledge of the latest design software & technologies (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, HTML/HTML5, CSS)
Ability to work in a fast paced, highly collaborative environment
Ability to clearly and effectively communicate and articulate the work
