Requirements / Qualifications

FDC is seeking a full-time, on-site, Applications Development Analyst. The position’s required and preferred qualifications are described below and must be verifiable in the candidates resume.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.

Required Qualifications

  • 20+ years Systems Analysis experience;
  • 20+ years Applications Development Programming experience, specifically COBOL, CICS, JCL, and SQL for DB2.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Inmate/Offender Management System within a Correctional environment;
  • Inmate/Offender Time Computation and release time calculation systems within a Correctional environment;
  • Inmate Health Care systems within a Correctional environment;
  • Inmate Trust Fund and automation of Prison Canteen systems within a Correctional environment;
  • The Inmate/Offender Court Order Payment systems within a Correctional environment;
  • IMS/DLI, DB2 Database and DL/2 (Data Base middleware);
  • CICS and cumbersome JCL;
  • WRAP programming and mainframe programming using WEB services;
  • CJIS/NCIC/FCIC knowledge;
  • FLAIR accounting system;
  • PROGRESS language (under VMS)

Deliverables

The Application Development Analyst will be responsible for the design and development of IT systems to include functional specifications. The Analyst must produce deliverables related to the project(s) assigned and assist in post implementation support and system enhancements; this position also selects appropriate C.A.S.E. tools to develop systems and software. The Analyst is responsible for gathering, compiling and synthesizing information with regard to technology processes or systems in addition to using the following, included, but not limited to, skillsets and knowledge:

Scope of Work

  • Proficiency with

– COBOL language

– TSO/ISPF/IOF

– CICS

– JCL

– SQL for DB2 and IMS-DL1/DL2

  • System design documentation experience;
  • Program specifications preparation, programming and testing experience;
  • Project management experience;
  • Law Enforcement Sentence Structure algorithms knowledge;
  • Financial Infrastructure knowledge;
  • Health and Medical Infrastructure knowledge
