Sr. Application Developer--Mobile

This role will be responsible for creation of web and mobile applications that take into consideration all aspects of application development, design and architecture including – performance, scalability, coding, caching, security, encryption, session state management, error logging, and testing.

The important skills for this position are C#, .Net, mobile development on Windows platform or for iOS. This position will also be responsible for providing advanced technical standards, application assessments and advanced technical support in coordination with peer IT groups and business application owners.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years in a similar role in a business of similar size and complexity.

Education, Training, Licenses and/or Certifications Required:

Any combination of education, training, and experience equivalent to possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described. Preferred Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
MCAD (Microsoft Certified Application developer) certification.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Use Microsoft technologies: C#, ASP.NET, SQL, and Microsoft workflow to develop web applications.
Design and develop intuitive, usable, and engaging interactions and visual designs for iOS and Windows platform.
Independently perform expert level analysis and design by translating business requirements into technical specification.
Code, test, and document according to the approved technical design.
Integrate with our back-end services to make sure we are delivering great mobile user experience.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect mobile applications to back-end services.
Excellent understanding of user experience design for mobile and the web, technology trends, demonstrable design skills, and ability to show relevant work.
Provide technical expertise across multiple areas of application development.
Implement all aspects of an application design – high performance design, coding, caching mechanisms, security, encryption, state management, error logging, debugging, scalability, code reviews, development environment configuration, and testing.
Collaborate with users to gather requirements and coordinating with internal teams to ensure that solutions are developed to meet the needs and requirements of the users.
Perform unit and system level testing Develop and maintain all documentation related to applications supported.
Mentor and help train other members of the team.
Evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities, trends and best practices that can be leveraged to strengthen technology platform and development practices.
Participate in rotation of 24×7 on-call support Maintain regular and consistent communications with the Supervisor.
