Sr Accounting Systems Analyst

Currently, we are seeking a talented Sr Accounting Systems Analyst to join the Life Insurance Division in Aliso Viejo. The Life Insurance Division works with financial and insurance professionals to give families and businesses the life insurance coverage needed to help meet important financial protection, wealth accumulation, and wealth preservation goals.

POSITION SUMMARY

This person will supervise and coordinate activities of application developers and system analyst engaged in the integration, implementation, and maintenance of Pacific Life’s life insurance products on Document Management systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

•Ensuring the integrity of the Policy Administration data with regards to the Interfacing Systems.

•Ensuring support for production issues.

•Ensuring quality and content for analysis, design, coding, testing and deployment LDM Deliverables.

•Supervising and providing technical assistance and direction to application development staff.

•Maintaining strong working relationships with IT, business and project management office peers and management.

•Suggesting and implementing process improvements.

FACTORS FOR SUCCESS

•Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent related work experience.

•5-7 years of applications development and support supervisory experience using structured methods.

•4-6 years of experience in individual insurance, individual life product knowledge.

•Experience with mainframe technologies including COBOL LE, DB2, CICS, VSAM, SPUFI, JCL.

•Experience with life insurance industry policy administration software such as CyberLife or Vantage.

•Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.

•Excellent interpersonal skills.
