SQL/Business Intelligence Architect

What you’ll do:

You’ll consult with clients on the design of the backend Microsoft SQL database applications to meet functional, performance, reliability, and availability requirements.

• Learn our client’s business, their organization, systems, challenges, and goals.
• Articulate execution strategy through roadmaps, estimates, and implementation plans.
• Lead client facing, and internal training (technology training and/or application specific-training)
• Potentially work on more than one project concurrently (2-3 max)
• Keep up with state-of-the-art knowledge of technologies, planning, design and analysis methodologies.

• You have an ear for diagnosing end user’s problems, the ability to prescribe the right solution and then ultimately determine the right combination of methods using your skills to deliver the right features.

• You are comfortable working within a virtual team and are flexible with working occasional evenings/weekends and less than 20% travel.

Minimum Requirements

• 5+ years with SSRS
• 5+ years experience designing and developing complex database environments.
• 5+ years of full life cycle SQL Server Data Warehouse/OLAP design and implementation, with experience on SQL Server 2005 – 2016
• 5+ years with MOLAP/ROLAP/HOLAP Cube design and implementation using SQL Server Analysis Services
• 5+ years with implementation of scalable SharePoint portals that integrate with Reporting Services, PerformancePoint, Dashboard Designer, and Excel Services.
• 5+ years application development/design in any 2 or 3 tier systems.
• 5+ years of applied experience with Internet/Intranet technologies, platforms and integration with backend systems and databases.
• Working knowledge in SharePoint 2010, 2013 and 2016 for collaboration, search, content management, InfoPath Forms and workflow
• Ability to work on various Windows platforms
• Working Knowledge of Active Directory
• Experience with source management utilities
• Current knowledge of industry leading tools, best practices, and advanced Web design standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Recent working knowledge of major BI tools (PowerBI / Tableau preferred)
• Azure experience
• Microsoft Certified
• Experience as a consultant (working with external clients) strongly preferred
