SQL Developer

Our South Shore based client is looking to hire a SQL Reports Developer for a 6 month assignment with potential to go permanent.

Responsibilities:

• Help with clarifying requirements, building, and maintaining business information reports.
• Interview business users to clarify requirements, explain limitations of data in the system, and arrive at mutually-agreed upon technical solution.
• Design new reports considering accuracy, performance, maintainability, and clarity of presentation.
• Comfortable with stopping one task to switch to another higher-priority task and work with urgency and precision to complete the “hot fix” business requirement.
• Work collaboratively within the team and across other .net development teams to determine the best solutions for the desired outcome.
• Work with business owners, development team experts, and database administrators to gain and understanding of the business and application rules for the data being reported on.
• Document user specifications and reasons for specific logic within a code to enable future maintenance on that report.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of SQL, ETL and SSIS reporting experience required.
• Clear and logical thinking about data and data relationships
• SSRS and Microsoft RS2008RE are a plus
