Specialist Developer – Mainframe

Key responsibilities include :

• Active contribution to Application Software development including requirements analysis, testing, performance tuning, optimization, re-use, and scalability of products; demonstrate creative, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills.
• Responsible and participate in detailed design, creation of test plan and test data, perform end-to-end testing and ensuring timely delivery of the solution
• Demonstrate excellent software development skills. Strong experiences in implementation of Mainframe and associated technology such as Cobol, DB2, CICS, JCL is a must. IBM WebSphere MQ, VSAM is a plus
• Work on mission critical systems that employ complex batch and on-line processing.
• Ensures that expected application performance levels are achieved. Contributes to defining time tables and project plans. Analyzes and estimates feasibility, cost, time, and compatibility with hardware and other programs.
• Conducting performance testing and implementing best practices to improve the efficiency of legacy code

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
• Six to eight (6-8) years of experience in software development required.
• Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
• Experience in leading and collaborating with global developers is required.
