Solutions Architect, Drug Discovery

We’re looking for a Solutions Architect to join us in our mission to design drugs that improve human health and materials that increase quality of life!

Schrödinger is on the cutting edge of computer-aided drug discovery and materials science, collaborating with companies like Takeda, Nimbus, Pfizer, and Sanofi. We hold the record for the largest and fastest cloud computing run (156,000 cores!), and our software suites continue to revolutionize the design of therapeutics and materials. WaterMap, Maestro, and LiveDesign are just a few examples of the programs we’ve created.

As a Solutions Architect with our Drug Discovery team, you’ll join a team of forty designers, modelers, computational chemists, medicinal chemists, crystallographers, biochemists, biologists and technologists, and receive support from over a hundred software developers and engineers. We’ll give you all the tools you need to redefine what it means to discover drugs – we’ve gotten four programs to the clinic in the last seven years.

What you’ll do:

• Scope, plan, complete, and accept responsibility for the success of complex deployments in support of drug discovery collaborations
• Assist product development and management, and help guide product releases to ensure that features are relevant to the Drug Discovery Group
• Serve as primary technical contact for the Drug Discovery Group and learn about its day-to-day operations
• Be a source of knowledge internally and externally by familiarizing yourself with the entire software platform
• Develop code to customize the Schrödinger platform to user needs
• Interface with Scientists, Engineers, and Product Managers
• Support business development as a platform evangelist for our partners

What you should have:

• BA or BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or Mathematics
• Two or more years’ experience with a scripting language like Python, Java, or Perl
