Solution Architect

Solution Architect Location: Minneapolis, or Atlanta Position Type: Long Term Contract

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture strategy, design, and implementation of API design.
• Lead, coordinate, facilitate, collaborate with a broad group of business and technical resources at executive ad technical levels
• Provides architectural guidance and technical service to the plan/build/run application teams, as well as guidance and collaboration supporting the environment in conjunction with outsource providers.
• Proactively address significant business issues through technological innovation
• Manage technical components of large projects
• Evaluate and recommend alternate solutions in key technology areas
• Work cooperatively with technical personnel in other divisions and functions to accomplish enterprise-wide goals
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Maturity to accept direction, confidence to give direction
• Provide vendor governance for outsourced contracts and manage contract deliverables and SLAs
• Establish service-level metrics used to define and measure technology services
• Establish and manage effective vendor relationships

Qualifications:

Must be architect level capable of leading teams, presenting to leadership, defining and directing project work.

• Recent experience leading projects in API design utilizing REST-full architecture patterns.
• Knowledge and experience with the Apigee API platform a huge plus.
• Experience with the IBM technology stack (WebSphere, DataPower/APIConnect, Integration Broker, etc) or modern open systems.
• Expertise trouble-shooting and resolution of production problems and issues as they arise
• Demonstrable experience with change management processes and procedures along with ITIL practices
• Creativity in addressing technical challenges
• Ability to work off-hours for system upgrades, emergencies
• Team-player who is flexible and able to work with end-users and production issues simultaneously
• Experience running mid to large size 24×7 production systems
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of relevant technical experience, including systems analysis, design and implementation
• Extensive systems integration experience in a diverse multi-platform environment
