As the Data Warehouse Developer, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of business intelligence information to meet the needs of Maricopa Community Colleges. Experience in BI development and implementation, data architecture and data warehousing is required. Other responsibilities include creating star schema data models, creating/supporting/managing ETLs, as well as validating the returned results with the various business stakeholders. You will also support implemented BI solutions by actively monitoring and tuning the performance of data queries and loads, addressing questions concerning data integrity, and communicating functional and technical issues.

30% – Develops, consolidates, and optimizes the data architecture for the BI needs of the organization, delivers large data integration projects in collaboration with the various business stakeholders
30% – Designs, implements, reviews, and supports ETL procedures for the intake of data from internal and external sources into various source and target systems, while ensuring that the data is verified and quality is checked
25% – Creates and maintains documentation for ETL processes and databases, data models/architecture/schema, and data validation
15% – Takes initiative to escalate long standing or unresolved issues, communicates status and facilitates the change management process

Bachelor’s Degree in information technology or directly related field and four years of professional experience in area directly related to assignment.

An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation

1. Four (4) or more years of business analytics experience with an enterprise reporting tool, such as Crystal Reports, Business Objects Enterprise, and/or Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
2. Three (3) or more years of experience working with an enterprise DBMS using SQL and related database tools while implementing best practices. (DBMS: e.g. Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or MySQL
3. Two (2) or more years of experience working with ETL tools (e.g. IBM Cognos, Informatica, Microsoft SSIS, Oracle Data Integrator, Pentaho, Scribe, PeopleSoft Component Interfaces)
4. Two (2) or more years of IT experience in developing business intelligence processes with an enterprise intelligence and integration tools, such as SAP Business Objects Enterprise, Crystal Reports or Microsoft’s BI systems (SSIS/SSRS/SSAS)
5. One (1) year of experience in Business Intelligence/Enterprise Data Warehouse development, supporting ETL processes, using various flavors of SQL, as well as experience using ETL and data integration tools
6. Experience with statistical methods and data analysis
7. Experience with Oracle/PeopleSoft ERP applications such as Campus Solutions, Human Capital Management System or Financial Management System

May be required to sit for a prolonged period of time; viewing a computer monitor. May be required to lift or carry up to 25lbs.
